Chocolate fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (12 ounce package) Hershey's real chocolate semi-sweet chips or mini chips
  • 7 ounces Hershey's milk chocolate broken into pieces (1 giant bar)
  • 1 2/3 cups evaporated milk (13 ounce can)
  • 4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 2/3 cups marshmallow creme (7 ounces)
  • 1 Tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 2/3 cups chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Combine Hershey's Real Chocolate Semi-Sweet Chips or mini chips and Hershey's bar in a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
  2. Combine evaporated mild, marshmallow creme, sugar, and butter or margarine in heavy 4-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a full rolling boil. Boil and stir for 8 minutes. Remove from heat, immediately add to chocolate in mixing bowl, beating until completely melted. Blend in vanilla and pecans or walnuts. Pour into a buttered 9" square or 9" x 13" x 2" oblong pan; cool.
