Spinach Lasagna

One step lasagna recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pounds Ricotta
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided (reserve 1/2 cup for top)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup toasted wheat germ
  • 10 ounces frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained (1 package)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup parsley
  • 31 ounces spaghetti sauce (2 jars)
  • 1/2 package lasagna noodles
  • 1 cup of water

Instructions

  1. One step recipe: no need to cook noodles ahead.
  2. Combine first 10 ingredients. In greased 13" x 9" baking dish, layer 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce, 1/3 of noodles, 1/2 cheese mixture. Repeat and top with 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese. Pour water around edges. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes before serving.
